Family Business Advising for Complex Decisions

Based in Vancouver, BC, I work with business families navigating succession, governance, leadership transition, communication challenges, and conflict.

Family business decisions often involve more than business. They involve relationships, history, values, expectations, and conversations that can be difficult to move forward.

When Decisions Get Difficult

Families often reach out when conversations have become harder to navigate, decisions are stalled, or family dynamics are beginning to affect the business.

Succession and Control

When authority, leadership, or ownership needs to transition.

Family Governance

When decision-making is unclear, informal, or difficult to manage together.

Conflict and Communication

When conversations become reactive, indirect, avoided, or shaped by assumptions.

Values and Fairness

When expectations around money, roles, contribution, or the future of the business differ.

Conversations That Move Decisions Forward

Every family is different. My role is to create the structure, trust, and neutrality needed for important conversations to become more productive.

Succession Planning Support

Helping families work through the communication and relationship dynamics that affect transition.

Governance and Family Council

Creating clearer forums for family business matters, expectations, policies, and decision-making.

Where Business and Family Dynamics Meet

My work brings together more than 45 years of family systems experience, 35+ years in organizational consulting, and lived experience as a second-generation family business owner.

That background helps me understand both sides of the work: the practical business decisions families need to make, and the relationship dynamics that can make those decisions difficult.

Start a Conversation

If your family is navigating succession, governance, conflict, or difficult conversations about the future of the business, you are welcome to get in touch.

The goal is not to force agreement. It is to help your family create a more constructive way to talk, decide, and move forward.
