About Ian

BRIDGING THE PERSONAL AND THE PROFESSIONAL

Throughout my lengthy career in business and family coaching, my goal has always been to build relationships and the framework to keep those relationships healthy.

With over 35 years in the field as an entrepreneur, family therapist and organizational consultant, I have facilitated powerful family and organizational change and seen family members and advisors come together to create a common future that lasts for generations.

I know, because I’ve been there.

I am passionate about this work because I’ve experienced my own transition in a family business, having taken over from my mother in a family-owned and run company.

My insights can help you avoid the mistakes we made as a family, and dodge the pitfalls that far too often strike families, their businesses and the strategic planning process.

As a seasoned coach for families who are initiating or experiencing some kind of transition, I understand the challenge, concern and the high stakes involved.

I help your family or your family business clients achieve harmony and potential, boosting their emotional, relational, and financial well-being.

Here’s what families and advisors say about working with me.

"Ian was instrumental in working through a significant conflict I was having with my father regarding my purchase of his dental practice. He just wasn’t holding up his end of the bargain. With Ian’s help, my father validated my feelings and position, and we moved forward to enjoy a very successful personal and business relationship for the next ten years."
